Summary: manages and participates in the clinical activities of an assigned nursing unit and shift. assesses, plans, implements and evaluates quality of patient care and operations during the assigned shift. guides and supervises assigned personnel; collaborates with members of the health care team; coordinates ancillary staff. demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth. functions within the framework of policies and procedures of the hospital and within the legal framework of the state. provides direct patient care primarily for patients ages 12 and up.
