Job Title: RN III

Full Time Multiple openings on various shifts Registered Nurse (RN) Valid PA Driver’s License 1 year of supervisory experience is required. Responsible for managing and ensuring technical excellence at an assigned Apheresis Donor Center. Accountable for maintaining a high standard of quality for both product and donor care. Supervises the Donor Specialist II staff during collection, sampling, labeling, and apheresis product handling and shipping. Monitors product yields, donor counts and site quality control. Acts as the technical expert in the area of apheresis product collection and troubleshooting. Precepts new Donor Specialist II staff in Apheresis collections and responsible for ongoing training, competency and evaluation of existing staff. Registered Nurse required. Blood Banking/Apheresis experience preferred, along with 1 year of Management/Supervisory experience.

Job Title:  RN II Research
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Full Time Day (1st shift) Registered Nurse 1-2 years of research experience is required 2 yrs hands on nursing exp including venipuncture/phleb skil Excellent written/oral communication skills Reports to the Clinical/Research RN Supervisor and provides research nursing services in a comprehensive clinical/research environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Research Responsibilities: Scheduling appointments; Coordinate recruitment of research subjects; Obtain informed consent and maintain confidential files; Complete clinical assessments and brief patient evaluations for each visit; Provide timely, organized approach to obtaining laboratory tests for research projects; Assist in coordination of projects with University, ITxM, sponsoring agencies, pharmaceuticals, NIH, governmental agencies; Coordinate research visits with the UPMC research facilities and IDS; Maintain regulatory binders for all assigned trials in accordance to GCP;s; Assist in coordination of projects with the University, ITxM, sponsoring agencies, pharmaceuticals, NIH, governmental agencies; Meet regularly with the Center Director to review progress and issues on active research projects; Coordinates research projects at multi-center sites, including timely phone followup; Maintain an updated procedure manual of all projects; Maintain timely and orderly blood sample storage in scientific study freezers.
