Job Title: REGISTERED NURSE WOUND CARE CENTER - PRN 1
Location: GOLDSBORO, NC

EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE: Current Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina required. Wound Care certification preferred medical surgical, home health, or wound care experience preferred Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Functions as a member of the patient care team who, with knowledge of the nursing process, provides leadership in applying scientific principles and professional skills aimed at caring for the ill, preventing disease and maintaining optimum health. The RN assists the physician in carrying out a therapeutic regimen for each patient and is an advisor of non-professional nursing personnel in providing nursing care to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individual patients. The RN implements the nursing process in order to provide professional holistic patient care. Responsibilities: Direct patient care 80% Provides case management to patients Provides specific assessments according to protocols and clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient education related to wound care management Acts as Patient advocate in delivery and coordination of care Provides efficient and effective care with guidance during clinical sessions manages multiple patients at same time with energy and organization Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care clinicians, physicians, Program Director and Medical director regarding patient needs.
