Scheduled Days and Hours: M - F 8:00 - 5:00
Job Description: The Physician Assistant is accountable for delivering comprehensive quality patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions according to standards of practice for children from birth through adolescence. The incumbent functions as a member of the Nephrology Department and related program physician teams within an integrated academic model.
Requirements: Current State of Connecticut Physician Assistant licensure required at time of hire and maintenance of NCCPA certification thereafter.
Minimum of 2 years PA experience - pediatric specific experience preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association accredited is required upon hire.
Ability to manage complex family issues and provide patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
Willing to work flexible hours/days to meet the needs of patients and programs and services.
