Job Description:
Infection Control and Education Days, hours varies Provides patient safety focused on organization-wide infection surveillance, control and prevention program; coordinates with other departments to strategically plan on improving and integrating applicable programs, services and processes; serves as a departmental liaison; prepares and maintains a variety of statistical reports and records; conducts investigations related to the prevention of infectious diseases; participates in educating and training employees and patients regarding program; attends and participates in a variety of professional development and meetings; takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested; communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge; and cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to service. Functions independently, providing care to a group of specific patients. Incorporates skills of history and physical, assessment, treatment, and outpatient procedures. May prescribe medications after fulfilling requirements for prescriptive authority within the clinical specialty and practice setting. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Minimum requirements: Registered Nurse
