MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Schedule will be 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Minimum of 2 years college coursework is required. (*Bachelor's Degree is preferred).
3+ years directly-related IS/IT experience is required. (*Direct healthcare IT experience is preferable).
5+ years directly-related experience in Crystal Reports, Epic Clarity Data Marts, Data Analysis, Extraction, Presentation, Standardization, and Transformation is preferable.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
New Development:
-Analyze, design, develop and maintain Crystal solutions using BO Reporting environment.
-Design, document and deploy Crystal Reports.
-Design Epic Clarity Reporting solution integrating multiple source systems.
-Develop stored procedures, database triggers, complex SQL queries and PL/SQL programming.
-Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Crystal and be able to translate user requirements into complex reports and dashboards.
-Work with different functional groups to analyze requirements and manage expectations.
-Work with team members or independently to design, develop and test complex reports based on business objectives.
-Identifying and documenting data quality issues and data patterns.
-Coordinate with project team members, ITS and vendor to ensure timely, accurate, and complete delivery of committed tasks.
-Discover business transformation rules and complete design documentation.
-Create Meta data documentation (Business Glossary and data definitions) for Clinical Data Management.
-Define the usage of queries and reporting tools to support clinical areas when combining and analyzing large volumes of information contained within the corporate data warehouse.
-Develop and deliver Crystal presentations and trainings.
-Support end users on using Crystal.
-Create Conceptual/Business, Logical, and Physical model.
-Determine the optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source system platforms and moving it to the Data Warehouse.
-Design and specify source data detection and extraction processes.
-Working with the data warehouse DBA to help the team in developing logical and physical Data Models, ER Diagrams and state transformation models.
-Design and specify source data detection and extraction processes.
-Define and capture Clarity metadata rules associated with ETL processes.
-Design and implement automation of data loading and cleansing processes.
Support & Maintenance of Assigned Systems:
-Demonstrates thorough understanding of Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and highly normalized data models.
-Ensures the infrastructure components are used consistently to facilitate effective development of Data Warehouse processes and intuitive user deliverables considering end user reporting.
-Performs routine support of assigned system with little or no supervision.
-Solves system problems and issues in a timely and accurate manner.
-Is responsive to customer issues.
-Communicates with customer, project team and vendors in a timely manner.
-Updating appropriate ticket system by either using the Problem Severity Matrix Standards or Request Service Level Agreement (SLA).
-Support and maintain the development, test and production ETL Data Warehouse environment.
-Coordinates program and/or data moves from development to test/education and production regions.
System Analysis and Design:
-Designs and maintains Epic clarity data stores used to support business reporting and analysis needs while preserving consistency, intuitive usage, quality data, and timely availability.
-Demonstrates leadership by assisting both technological and business communities with data store utilization.
-Identify, develop and document detailed data requirements and detailed specifications through the Data Warehouse life cycle integrating with existing data warehouse environment.
-Experience analyzing source systems and perform data mapping between disparate databases / data sources and do gap analysis working with production data to validate business requirements.
-Perform detailed data analysis including data quality and consistency by monitoring production data.
-Analyze and develop strategies for data acquisitions, archives, recovery, and implementation of a database on an enterprise level.

-Develops detailed, accurate, complete, cost-effective and resource-conservative design solutions that cleanly integrate with existing products and provide an easy path for future enhancements, by examining all possible courses of action and displaying sound logic and reasoning to arrive at an optimum solution.

-Identifies major hardware and software components.
-Describes key files and data elements including descriptions, purpose, usage and validation rules for these.
-Identifies in detail, input and output specifications, including input source(s), output media, retention requirements, screen and report layouts.
-Defines program-to-program and system-to-system flows.
-Defines necessary system controls including error detection and correction procedures, security and privacy specifications and auditing provisions.
-Includes volume estimates to project the overall impact on the computer system.
Data Acquisition:
-Evaluates potential data sources to the data warehouse environment through data and technological reviews.
-Interview end-users to determine requirements for data, reports, analyses, metadata, training, service levels, data quality, and performance.
-Develops processes for capturing and maintaining metadata from all data warehouse components.
-Works with users to identify appropriate algorithms in order to ensure business-rule based data validation and correction to anomalies.
-Adapt Cognos processes to accomodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements.
-Coordinate with program-level Architect to ensure compliance with standards and consistency with long-term infrastructure plans.
-Develop monitoring plan to ensure data has been refreshed/updated as expected.
-Search for causes of incompatibility between the warehousing environment and other systems.
-Install new software patches and upgrades.
-Design, build, and maintain data management processes that promote data quality through exception reporting, data standardization and calculation, and business rule validation. Reports findings back through both IS management and customer data stewards.
-Work with production data to monitor and report on data conditions and quality.
