Job Description:
Full-time M-F Day shift MT (ASCP) or Equivalent MT (ASCP) or Equivalent 2 Years experience required Excellent customer service and team player attitude. Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred):
MT(ASCP) or equivalent
Related Work Experience and Other Skills:
Five years of clinical experience to include report writing and research activity in assigned area
Two years of supervisory experience in assigned area
A Master's degree or successful completion of the MHS Emerging Leaders program can be substituted for supervisory experience
High level of energy and motivation

· Performs and maintains departmental QC
· Performs maintenance on all departmental equipment and analytical devices
· Proper use of technology in maintaining patient specimen flow in the laboratory area

· Ensuring critical patient information and data are communicated effectively with the multidisciplinary team across the continuum of care and documented properly within the patient record
· Assists and/or provides the department during times of increased workload or personnel absenteeism to provide uninterrupted services to our customers

· Develops, maintains, reviews and revises appropriate departmental standard operating procedures and guidelines as appropriate with Medical Director approval.
· Assist QA/QC Manager with investigations and develop quality assurance monitors as needed
· Maintains department specific quality control program as assigned
· Administers and evaluates proficiency assessments
· Provides opportunities for staff to expand in technical and professional knowledge base by creating and administering competency tests.
· Ensures that only those employees, documented as competent perform patient testing.
· Provides training of employees and students when indicated.
· Prepare and participate in regulatory internal and/or external inspections.
· Develops and maintains preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
