Job Description:
PRN M-F, 0830-1700 Day shift Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy RPh certification required 2 Years experience required Basic computer knowledge required. Excellent customer service and team player attitude. Strong analytical, written and verbal skills. Provides pharmaceutical care and services to the patients and other health professionals within the hospital in accordance with accepted professional standards and practices. Provides supervision and direction for the pharmacy technical staff and ensures quality and efficiency in the delivery of pharmacy services.
Monitors drug therapy as ordered by medical staff; suggests alternate drug therapy when appropriate. Acts as liaison with nursing and medical staff concerning prescriptions, orders, patient reactions, errors, and complaints.
Ensures that order processing , preparation , and delivery is accurate and timely. Monitors work flow for best utilization of resources.
Ensures compliance with all legal requirements for both pharmacy operation and pharmacist's responsibilities.
Completes compounding, labeling, packaging, IV preparation, and inventory control function as required in a prompt and accurate manner.
Provides drug information that is accurate and timely. Documents QI reviews, interventions, occurrences, adverse drug reactions as per policy.
Participates in the quality improvement activities of the department.
Ensures all procedures for storage and accurate inventory of narcotics and other controlled substances are followed.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
