Job Description:
As a Bioskills Technologist, you will prepare and participate in the coordination of Bioskills surgical training sessions, educational workshops and research activities.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Participates in the coordination of laboratory sessions for residents, fellows and physicians.
Assembles instruments, supplies and equipment to correspond with scheduled sessions.
Distributes proper supplies and materials to participants prior to sessions.
Ensures proper functioning of equipment prior to and during procedures. Replaces malfunctioning equipment, as needed.
Monitors and ensures infection control measures and sterilization standards are maintained during each procedure.
Sets-up and operates related audiovisual and teleconferencing equipment during laboratory activities.
Performs turnover activities between laboratory sessions.
2. Leads and guides Bioskills Assistants in the performance of cleaning and inventory duties.
3. Maintains and updates various laboratory and equipment files and manuals.
