Job Description:
On Call varies varied shifts Patient Services Technician (PST) performs phlebotomy, coordinates daily collections, routine and STAT, and general urine testing collection. PST prepares and processes paperwork associated with the laboratory requisitions and orders. Reviews orders, collects, and receives orders for laboratory tests accurately. He/she serves as primary laboratory representative to patients, clients, and staff. Responsible for completing all assigned work with accuracy and promptly on schedule. Assist technical staff, other employees, physicians, clients, and supervisor in a cooperative manner. As a member of the code and rapid response team, PST reports to all codes and Rapid Response calls. High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of one year of verifiable phlebotomy experience, or possess valid phlebotomy certificate from accredited agency with at least 200 draws. Current phlebotomy experience preferred. Health Care Assistant registration from Washington State Department of Health is required. Basic CPR training required. Position to start January 2nd.
