Job Description:
Part Time 6:30a- 2:30p varied days & every other weekend Performs general laboratory testing, clinical analyses, and reports results accurately using the Laboratory Information System (LIS) in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations. Collects specimens and determines suitability for analysis. Maintains instrument in peak performance at all times by performing preventative maintenances, calibrations, quality controls, proficiency testing, and various quality assurance activities. Performs other duties as required or assigned. MT provides leadership and mentoring to laboratory staff in the absence of Laboratory Manager or Director. Assists in training and orientation of personnel or projects as assigned. Associate's Degree from an accredited college. Completion of a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technology program from an accredited program or equivalent program. Minimum one year of Medical Laboratory Technician experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred. License/Certification: MLT or MT, MLS or CLS certification is required. (ASCP, AMT, or HEW). Licensed in the State of Washington as a Health Care Assistant. Position to start January 1, 2011
