Are you ready to join the State's largest single site ED, a Level II Trauma Center, including a Trauma ICU and Step down Unit? LRMC boasts a separate Pediatric ED with a staff focused on our littlest patients. Our Chest Pain Center has received Cycle III accreditation with PCI. And we have a Joint Commission Accredited Stroke Center.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Preferred: Emergency Room or Critical Care Experience.
Required: Must be knowledgeable of nursing process and its application to patient care. Must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential job function and satisfactorily demonstrate required competencies in the care of patients, including department-specific and age-specific competencies. Must practice safe critical thinking skills and make appropriate judgments/decisions re: patient care. Current knowledge of the nursing role and scope of practice as defined by Florida Professional Regulation. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; effective verbal and written communication; positive customer service.
EDUCATION:
Preferred: BSN
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred: Previous experience in an acute care patient setting preferred.
Required: None required if normally scheduled to work at least 40 hours per pay period. (If STEP or PTD and normally scheduled to work less than 40 hrs/pay period, must have minimum of one year full time experience in acute care hospital.)
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Preferred: Certification in specialty.
Required: Current license as Registered Nurse in Florida. The Following certifications for specific departments are required: Resource Rool and PILB: ACLS, PALS or similar certification within one year; Critical Care RNs must complete ACLS by the end of orientation period. All RNs must complete 15 contact hours of education annually.

Delivers direct;indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment; implementation and prioritization of patient's problems and needs; and development/implementation/evaluation of a nursing plan of care. Demonstrates sound judgment and critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality, age-specific are; demonstrates department-specific competencies. Delegates effectively to appropriate team members and is accountable for their patient care; reviews their work, Documents accurately and in a timely manner. Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members. Effectively interacts with patients, families and physicians while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory accrediting body requirements and professional practice standards. Promotes and participates in activities that demonstrate the achievement of patient, customer and employee safety and satisfaction.
