The Program Coordinator, Clinical Excellence will work under the direction of the Associate Medical Director of the NICCU and the Director of Quality to responsible for the ongoing develop and implement measures to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include: implement and oversee all aspects of the Children's Hospital Neonatal Database Project. The focus of the coordinator's activities are to act as the key contact for this project, collect, analyze and report data on performance improvement and clinical quality indicators at the unit level. In addition, to facilitate unit level performance improvement based activities, identify opportunities for improvement, to seek solutions, and to establish monitoring and evaluating strategies for change.

Minimum Education: Required Bachelors degree in nursing; Master's Preferred.

Minimum Experience: 2- 3 years NICU nursing experience; experience leading or facilitating projects and initiatives; combination of work experience in a hospital and data analysis experience

License, Registration or Certification Required: CA RN licensed, AHA CPR certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to teach, understanding of patient safety issues, project management, knowledge of Joint Commission standards, competent in the use of computers. Data analysis and reporting, quality improvement skills, knowledge of PI is required. Ability to lead inter-disciplinary work groups with professionalism.
