Excellence in nursing services: Madison VA hospital receives Magnet recognition

To Becky Kordahl, being recognized for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credentialing Center was a great honor for the Madison VA hospital and clinics, and one that reflects the facility’s commitment to veterans across the region.
“About 5 to 6 percent of all hospitals nationally have received this designation,” said Kordahl, a nurse executive for the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wis. “It’s a very prestigious award and we’re proud of it. The message it sends to our veterans is that we’re delivering quality care.”
