Nurse program in jeopardy

Gov. Douglas does not appreciate the detrimental impact of his budget proposal. He proposes terminating the Vermont Interactive Television. This program provides hundreds of nursing students throughout the state with access to distance learning opportunities that train them to become LPNs and RNs in Vermont. These programs are administered through the University of Vermont, Castleton State College, Lyndon State College and Vermont Technical College, who have the national credentials to award degrees.
