Nursing Scholarship Applications Now Available

Students interested in nursing careers can apply for a scholarship/loan through the N.C. Nurse Scholars Program (NSP) for the 2011-12 academic year at CFNC.org. Approximately 400 new awards are expected to be made for the coming year, according to College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC). Selection criteria and an application are available for undergraduate students at CFNC.org/NSP and, for master’s degree students, at CFNC.org/MNSP.
Nurse Scholars Program awards are available for undergraduate and graduate nursing students. Undergraduate amounts range from $3,000–$5,000 for registered nursing programs at the associate or bachelor’s degree level, while graduate amounts are $3,250–$6,500 for part-time and full-time study.
