OCtech nursing one of best-kept secrets

With the critical shortage of nurses in South Carolina, I am writing to let prospective nursing students know that the Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) program at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College serves all areas of our state. Unlike many other ADN programs, OCtech’s has competitive admissions.
This means there is no waiting for qualified students.
Living in Lexington, I researched other nursing programs in the Midlands area and was disappointed to learn there was as much as a three-year wait for acceptance into some programs. Fortunately, I discovered Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College and after qualifying was admitted immediately.
