PCC Sylvania nursing student wins award for Latino outreach
Thursday, July 09, 2009
When Rocio Ceja-Bolanos notices someone in need of a translator at the grocery store or on the street, she doesn’t hesitate to help.
“If I see the need, I’ll jump in,” said Ceja-Bolanos, 30, of Tigard. “I’m not shy.”
Translating has been the norm for Ceja-Bolanos, who recently won the Outstanding Woman Student Award from Portland Community College’s Sylvania campus.
