St. John gets high mark for nurses’ role, patient care

In what was supposed to be a staff meeting about patient satisfaction, nurses at St. John Medical Center got a big surprise Wednesday — designation as one of the top 5 percent of hospitals in the country for nursing excellence and patient care.
St. John is now northeastern Oklahoma’s only Magnet-designated hospital, and just the third statewide. Mercy Health Center and INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City are Magnet facilities.
