Treasure Valley nursing shortage persists

The supply of nurses entering the work force or delaying retirement for economic reasons will be enough to fill most nursing jobs statewide starting this year.
That’s because many nurses chose to keep their jobs out of necessity as the economy tanked, while nursing schools are producing more graduates, according to a report from the Idaho Department of Labor.
