Archie Vinitsky Scholarship for ET Nursing and Community Outreach To provide funding for training to registerednurses who are members of the United Ostomy Association. Amount Awarded: $500Number Awarded: Varies each year.Duration: 1 year.Deadline: March of each year for programs that start from April through June; June of each year for programs that start from July through September; September of each year for programs that start from October through December; December of each year for programs tEligibility: This program is open to nurses from any country who are interested in preparing for a career in enterostomal therapy nursing. Applicants must be dues-paying members of an association chapter at the time of application. They must submit a letter of recommendation, a budget of expenses, a list of other sources of funding that will be used, name and address of employer after training, and supporting letters.Additional Information: Scholarships are not awarded after training has begun. Proof of acceptance by an accredited ET nursing program is required before an award is granted. U.S. programs must be accredited by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse Society, Canadian programs by the Canadian Association for Enterostomal Therapy (CAET), and programs in other countries by the World Congress for Enterostomal Therapy (WCET).
