Lois Hallberg Nurse's Scholarship To provide financial assistance for nursing education to children of South Dakota veterans. Amount Awarded: $500Number Awarded: 2 each year.Duration: 1 year.Deadline: February of each year.Eligibility: To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must 1) be the child or grandchild either of a veteran or a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; 2) be a resident of South Dakota; 3) be between the ages of 16 and 22; and 4) plan to study nursing. They must include with their application a statement on "Why I want to be a nurse."
