Morgan-Sanders Endowed Scholarship

To provide financial assistance to students in Kansas who are working on a nursing degree on the undergraduate, master's, or doctoral level.

Amount Awarded: $500

Number Awarded: 1 each year.

Duration: 1 year.

Deadline: June of each year.

Eligibility: This program is open to students who reside in Kansas. The award is given according to the following priorities, in descending order: RNs pursuing a BSN degree; graduate students in nursing education, nursing administration, or adult education programs (with priority given to master's and then doctoral level); nonacademic nursing or nursing-related programs leading to a certificate; students enrolled in an undergradute BSN program; and students enrolled in undergraduate ADN programs. Students enrolled in graduate and certificate program preparation for clinical nurse specialists, NPs, nurse midwives, and nurse anesthetists are not eligible. Preference is given to students engaged in full-time study. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, must submit a personal narrative describing their anticipated role in nursing in the state, must submit 3 original letters of recommendation, must submit a copy of their official transcript, and must submit a letter of acceptance from their school.
