Schweitzer Fellowships To provide health professional students with an opportunity to offer direct service to underserved communities. Amount Awarded: $2000Number Awarded: Varies each year.Duration: Participants are expected to perform 200 hours of community service work.Deadline: January of each year.Eligibility: This program is open to medical, nursing, public health, social work, and other health professional students at schools in the areas where the program currently operates: Baltimore, Boston, North Carolina, New Hampshire/Vermont, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and New York. Applicants must be interested in working with an existing community agency to carryout a health-related service project full time during the summer or part time during the academic year.Contact Information:Schweitzer Fellows Program
