NAON/AAOS Grants To encourage orthopedic nurses to develop orthopedic research concepts and/or projects that are patient focused and that affect or will affect the outcome of orthopedic nursing practice. Number Awarded: 3 each year.Duration: Annually.Deadline: October of each year.Eligibility: Applicants must be RNs currently practicing in a primarily orthopedic setting and currently engaged in orthopedic research. Previously presented or published projects are not eligible for support. Interested researchers are invited to submit a 350-word abstract, describing their project. Novice researchers and researchers whose projects address the foundation's identified research priorities are especially invited to apply.Additional Information: Recipients must present the results of the funded research as a poster section at the AAOS meeting and as a lecture at the NAON meeting.Contact Information:National Association of Orthopedic Nurses
