Senior Scientist Awards To provide funding to outstanding scientists who have already demonstrated a sustained, high level of productivity in research. Number Awarded: Varies each year.Duration: 5 years.Deadline: January, May, or September of each year.Eligibility: This program is open to senior scientists who have a distinguished record of original research contributions, long-term support from a funding institute or center, and peer-reviewed grant support at the time of the award. Applications may be submitted on behalf of candidates by domestic, non-federal organizations, public or private. Minorities and women are particularly encouraged to apply.
