Alice Cossingham Scholarship To provide financial assistance to Vermont residents who are interested in working on a nursing degree. Amount Awarded: $500Number Awarded: 1 each year.Duration: 1 year; nonrenewable.Deadline: April of each year.Eligibility: This scholarship is available to high school seniors,high school graduates, and currently-enrolled collegestudents in Vermont who are enrolled or planning to enrollin a nursing degree program. Applicants must be Vermontresidents, be able to demonstrate financial need, apply to theVermont Student Assistance Corporation for a Vermont Grant, and file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid no later than4 weeks prior to the scholarship deadline. The following arerequired as part of the application process: a completed applicationform, 4 required essays, a resume, and an official transcript.
