Nursing To Me
Tuesday, March 03, 2009
I believe that i’ve grownup with nursing in my blood. My mother was still
in LVN school when she first found out she was pregnant with me. I do not
quite remeber all the details of being able to go to classes with her, but i
do remember some. My mom would take me to some of her courses and i remember
asking her “what’s this?” or “what is that?” and her telling me to be
quite so she could listen to the professor. I still have a memory of her
standing with all the other nursing students on the day she graduated. After
graduation, i got to wear the nursing cap. That was probably one of the best
days of my childhood. I thought i was a nurse. Ever since then i tried my
hardest to take care of my sick stuffed animals and baby dolls. As the years
passed i grew more and more curious of what my mothers job was really about.
In 2006, i took the first step, I earned my CNA license. ever since i have
been working at nursing facilities trying to get closer to my dream of
becoming a nurse. In the fall semester of 2009 i will finally be given my
opportunity to train as a nurse and one day be able to call myself a RN. I
hope you grant me this schoalship so i can continue pursing my dream.
