Pauline Thompson Nursing Education Scholarship
The applicant must: attend an accredited baccalaureate, associate degree or an RN-to-BSN completion nursing program; be a permanent resident of Pennsylvania; be in good academic standing (minimum GPA of 3.0); demonstrate leadership qualities; and be involved in community service. The applicant must be a member of a state Student Nurses Association, unless there is no school chapter. If the applicant is an RN, he/she must be a member of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA). The application must be accompanied by: a letter stating why the applicant believes the scholarship is deserved. This letter should address scholastic abilities, leadership qualities and community service. Attach an official transcript of grades or a copy of your acceptance letter into an RN-to-BSN completion program, 3 letters of reference (2 must be from nursing school faculty), and proof of membership in a state Student Nurses Association or PSNA.

Pearl Ramsey Memorial Nursing Scholarship
Applicant must be a resident of Kennebec County, Maine. Selection is based upon financial need, school and civic involvement, and GPA. Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation and a short essay on why scholarship is needed and what goals are hoped to be achieved. Applicant must submit S.A.S.E.

Peggy Kaye Nursing Grant
Applicant must be enrolled/admitted to this institution. Applicant must be a student on the Portland campus of Walla Walla College. Selection is based on financial need.

Peggy Spain McDonald Endowed Nursing Scholarships
Established with funds received from Mrs. Peggy Spain McDonald. Criteria: admission to or current enrollment in study leading to a degree in nursing at the University of Alabama School of Nursing, University of Alabama at Birmingham cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, and must demonstrate financial need as determined by the UAB Office of Student Financial Aid. Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated an interest in geriatric nursing. The School of Nursing Office of Student Affairs announces application deadline and procedures.

Registered nurses who have earned a doctoral degree after 1995. Applicants must have arranged to conduct the proposed research through an educational institution, a private research facility, or government agency in the US with a mentor who has a strong research and academic record. The mentor should have expertise and interest in the proposed research.

Public Health Service, U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources
Through its Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training and Extern programs (COSTEP), the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps offers financial assistance to students in BSN or MSN programs during their final year of nursing school in return for a service obligation to the Public Health Service. Participants must be seniors in an NLN- approved baccalaureate nursing program, be commissionable as a Commissioned Officer- Student Training Extern Program participant (COSTEP), and agree to serve a service obligation with the Public Health Service agency.
