Seabury & Smith Student Nurse Scholarship
To assist a student pursuing a career in nursing. RN Applicants shall be a member of AORN in good standing. Membership must be maintained continuously for 12 months prior to the June 30th application deadline and throughout the funding period. Membership is considered lapsed if full dues are not received at AORN Headquarters by the last day of the renewal month. A cumulative 3.0 GPA average is required and must be maintained for RN members. Student nurse applicants must submit proof of acceptance or enrollment in a NLNAC or CCNE program at an accredited institution. RN member nurses must be enrolled in an appropriate accredited institution for higher education. Applicant is responsible for submitting all materials, including application form, transcripts, resume or CV, personal statement and three letters of endorsement.

Seacoast Health Scholarship Program

Seyferth Scholar
Awarded to applicant with highest ranking credentials. Applicant must be a Muskegon County resident pursuing undergraduate study at an accredited two or four-year college, university, vocational/technical institute, nursing secretarial or other trade school. Selection is based on academic achievement, community or extracurricular involvement, and financial need. Applicant must submit transcripts, tax return, and $5 fee with application.

Ship Island-Mrs. J.O. Jones Memorial Scholarship
To provide financial assistance for graduate nursing education to lineal descendants of Confederate veterans.

Shirley Brown Scholarship

Sigma Theta Tau International/American Nurses' Foundation Grant
Grant is to encourage the research career development of nurses through support of research conducted by beginning nurse researchers or experienced nurse researchers who are entering a new field of study. Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license and have a master's degree. In even-numbered years, apply to Sigma Theta Tau International. In odd-numbered years, apply to the American Nurses Foundation at 202 651-7227. Unused funds must be repaid.

Sigma Theta Tau International/Association of Operating Room Nurses Foundation Grant
Award is to encourage qualified nurses to conduct research related to perioperative nursing practice and contribute to the development of perioperative nursing science. Priority is given to research studies that relate to the AORN research priorities. Applicant must have, at a minimum, a master's degree in nursing and be a registered nurse (with a current license) in the perioperative setting or a registered nurse who demonstrates interest in or significant contributions to perioperative nursing practice. Membership in either AORN or Sigma Theta Tau is acceptable but not required.

Sigma Theta Tau International/Glaxo Wellcome New Investigator/Mentor Grant
This grant is designed to facilitate the collaboration of a novice investigator practicing in the clinical setting(US) and an experienced research mentor(US). Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license, have or complete a master's degree within a year of completing the project, and the mentor must have a doctorate.

Sigma Theta Tau International/Mead Johnson Nutritionals Perinatal Grant
Applicant must be conducting research related to perinatal issues spanning the prenatal period through the first year of life, which may include low and high-risk maternal and neonatal care practices and innovative patient care delivery systems. Applicant must be a registered nurse with a current license, have a master's degree, and be a U.S. citizen. Unused funds must be repaid.

Sigma Theta Tau International/Oncology Nursing Society Grant
Applicant must be a registered nurse actively involved in some aspect of cancer patient care, education, or research and have a master's degree. Preference given to members of Sigma Theta Tau.

Sigma Theta Tau International/Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation Grant
Applicant must be a registered nurse in rehabilitation or a registered nurse who has interest in rehabilitation nursing, have a master's degree in nursing, and be able to complete the project within two years. Award is to encourage research related to rehabilitation nursing. Unused funds must be repaid.

Sigma Theta Tau InternationalSigma Theta Tau International/Emergency Nurses Association Foundation Grant
Applicant must be a registered nurse and have a master's degree. Award is to provide for research that will advance the specialized practice of emergency nursing. Unused funds must be repaid.

Sigma Theta Tau Scholarship
A scholarship in the amount of up to $1,500 annually is available for an undergraduate or a graduate student. Preference will be given to Sigma Theta Tau members, other attributes being equal. A cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 is required, and for graduate students, a combined score of at least 1,000 on the verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) is required.

To provide funding to RNs who wish to conduct research directly related to the priorities of AACN.

Sigma Theta Tau/Glaxo Wellcome Prescriptive Practice Grant
Applicant must be conducting research related to the prescribing practices of advanced practice nurses. Applicant must be a registrated nurse with a current license and prescriptive practice privileges and have a master's degree. Unused funds must be repaid.

Sister Jane Francis Scholarship
Named for Sister Jane Frances, a founder and president of St. Jude Medical Center. Upon her retirement, nursing administration at St. Jude established this scholarship in her name in recognition of her lifelong advocacy of nursing and her support of excellence. This scholarship is available to nursing students entering their senior year who are employed at St. Jude Medical Center.

Nominee must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a BSN completion program or graduate program that will advance the health care of children. Nominee must be a current SPN member. Members of the Board of Directors, during their elected terms, and members of the selection committee are excluded from eligibility for award nomination.

SOS Foundation of Jefferson County Scholarship
Established with funds received from the Sabin Oral Sunday (SOS) Foundation of Jefferson County. Preference will be given to a Jefferson County, Alabama resident enrolled full-time in study leading to the BSN degree at the University of Alabama School of Nursing, University of Alabama at Birmingham. The School of Nursing Office of Student Affairs announces application deadline and procedures.

South Carolina State Association of Occupational Health Nurses Inc. Scholarship
Applicant must be a South Carolina resident and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Financial need is considered.

Stanhome, Inc. Scholarship
Applicant must be a dependent of an eligible employee of Stanhome, Inc. Applicant must submit SAT scores and school transcripts. Disbursement of scholarship funds for recipient will be made to any state-accredited, degree-granting college or to a qualified nurse's training program.

State Nursing Scholarship
Recipients of this scholarship agree to stay in Maryland after graduation for a specified period and work as a nurse full-time. Award is renewable throughout the recipient's time at school.

Applicant must be a Maryland resident and agree to serve as a full-time nurse in Maryland for one year for each year of award. Applicant must file separate application to be considered for a living expenses grant. Award may be used at Maryland schools only.

Substance Abuse Fellowship
Applicant must be enrolled full-time in an National League for Nursing accredited school. Applicant must be interested in a career in substance abuse prevention, intervention, or comorbidity in minority communities. Recipient must engage in biomedical, behavioral research or teaching for the same length of time as support is given.

Suburban Hospital Scholarship Program
Applicant must reside in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and enrolled in a nursing, radiology technology, respiratory therapy, medical technology, physical therapy, physical therapy assistant, occupational therapy, or physician assistant undergraduate program. Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation, transcript, and letter of acceptance or good standing.
