VA Postdoctoral Nurse Fellowship
To provide nurses who have earned a doctoral degree with the opportunity to broaden their scientific or clinical research background at facilities of the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Number Awarded: 2 each year.
Duration: 1 year; may be renewed.
Deadline: February of each year.

VA Predoctoral Nurse Fellowship
To provide research funding to graduate students in nursing who have completed their advanced course work and are at the dissertation stage of their doctoral education.
Number Awarded: 2 each year.
Duration: 1 year; may be renewed.
Deadline: February of each year.

Valerie Rose Logan Nursing Scholarship
To provide financial assistance to high school seniors of Portuguese descent in Sacramento or contiguous counties in California who are preparing for a nursing or related career.
Number Awarded: 1 each year.
Duration: 1 year.
Deadline: April of each year.

Varian Excellence in Radiation Therapy Nursing Award
To recognize and support excellence in radiation nursing on the part of members of ONS.
Number Awarded: 1 each year.
Duration: Annually.

Velma Flies Anderson Scholarship
To provide financial assistance to nursing students from several counties in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.

Virginia A. Gaffey Scholarship
To provide financial assistance to members of ANNA who are residents of Massachusetts or pursuing further education at a program in designated areas.

Virginia Cleland, RN Scholar Award
To provide funding to nurses interested in conducting research on health policy issues.
Number Awarded: 1 each year.

Virginia Henderson Clinical Research Grant
To provide funding for clinically-oriented nursing research to members of Sigma Theta Tau International.
Number Awarded: 1 every other year.
Duration: 1 year.
Deadline: November of odd-numbered years.

Virginia Henderson/Sigma Theta Tau International Clinical Research Grant
Award is to encourge the research career development of clinically based nurses. Applicant must be a registrated nurse actively involved in some aspect of health care delivery, education, or research in a clinical setting, have a master's degree in nursing, and be a member of Sigma Theta Tau. Unused funds must be repaid.
Deadline: December of each year.

Virginia Leyda Roberts Nursing Scholarship
To provide financial assistance to high school seniors in Colorado who are interested in studying nursing in the state.
Number Awarded: 1 each year.
Duration: 1 year; nonrenewable.
Deadline: January of each year.

Virginia Scholarship Program
Open to residents of the general areas of Glen Allen, Harrisonburg, or Temperanceville, VA, who are US citizens, who live in the vicinity of a Tyson Facility.
Duration: 1 year.
Deadline: March of each year.

Virginia State Council Student Nurse Scholarship
To assist a student from the state of Virginia pursuing a career in nursing. RN Applicants shall be a member of AORN in good standing. Membership must be maintained continuously for 12 months prior to the June 30th application deadline and throughout the funding period. Membership is considered lapsed if full dues are not received at AORN Headquarters by the last day of the renewal month. A cumulative 3.0 GPA average is required and must be maintained for RN members. Student nurse applicants must submit proof of acceptance or enrollment in a NLNAC or CCNE program at an accredited institution. RN member nurses must be enrolled in an appropriate accredited institution for higher education. Applicant is responsible for submitting all materials, including application form, transcripts, resume or CV, personal statement and three letters of endorsement.
Duration: 1 year.

To provide funding to nurses interested in conducting research on clinical gerontological issues.
Number Awarded: 4 each year.
Duration: 1 year.
